Riding Instructor Licensing

All persons providing horseback riding instruction to the general public or for-hire must be licensed by the Department of Agricultural Resources

Riding Instructors

Competent Riding Instructors improve safety by understanding and addressing many contributors to risk while training. This program is working with the industry to help improve safety in every area. We welcome all contributions that help us promote safety.

You may use the link below to download the form to renew your license. All licenses do expire on March 31, following the date of issue. If your license has lapsed, you will need to retake the safety and basic knowledge exam to be reinstated. Our How-to Become a Licensed Riding Instructor page describes the required qualifications and process to apply for a license.

Please use the file below to renew your license. It is your responsibility to do this by March 31st each year.
