EOPSS/OGR awards funds to MA Department of Criminal Justice Information Services for Traffic Records project

In October 2020, the Executive Office of Public Safety and Security’s (EOPSS) Office of Grants and Research (OGR) awarded the Massachusetts Department of Criminal Justice Information Services (DCJIS) for a traffic records project $490,161.46 of Federal Section 402 funding from NHTSA.  This funding is for a new phase of the Motor Vehicle Automated Citation and Crash System project.  This award was made through a notice of intent process in September 2020.   The funds awarded to this project are being made available to DCJIS through September 30, 2021, unless extended.  

EOPSS/OGR awards funds to MA Department of State Police for Traffic Records project

n October 2020, the Executive Office of Public Safety and Security’s (EOPSS) Office of Grants and Research (OGR) awarded the Massachusetts Department of State Police (MSP) for a traffic records project $164,810.89 of Federal Section 405c funding from NHTSA.  MSP has initially been provided $142,232.54 from this award for FFY 2021.  This funding will improve MSP’s crash report training curriculum.  This award was made through a competitive Availability of Grant Funds in spring 2020.  All funds awarded to this project are being made available to MSP through September 30, 2021, unless extended.

 

EOPSS/OGR awards funds to University of Massachusetts-Amherst’s UMassSafe for Traffic Records project

In October 2020, the Executive Office of Public Safety and Security’s (EOPSS) Office of Grants and Research (OGR) awarded the University of Massachusetts-Amherst’s UMassSafe for a traffic records project $184,898.93 of Federal Section 405c funding from NHTSA.  This funding will allow for enhancements to UMassSafe’s Crash E-Manual website. This award was made through a competitive Availability of Grant Funds in spring 2020.  All funds awarded to this project are being made available to UMass through September 30, 2021, unless extended.
