About WIOA

Federal WIOA legislation aims to help jobseekers access employment, education, training, and support services to succeed in the labor market and match employers with the skilled workers they need to compete in the global economy.

Massachusetts WIOA State Plan

In Massachusetts, WIOA is executed at the state and regional level. WIOA state plans are updated every two years. Plans are available for public comment and review before they are finalized.

2026 plan updates

The Massachusetts WIOA 2026 State Plan Modification public comment period closed on April 25, 2026. After public comments are reviewed and considered, a final WIOA 2026 State Plan modification is submitted to the U.S. Department of Labor. 

The proposed plan is still available for review. The final plan will be posted on this website.

The Massachusetts Workforce Agenda outlines the Healey-Driscoll Administration’s vision, goals, and strategies to reduce barriers to employment, prepare untapped talent and jobseekers, meet the demands of employers and industry, and meet the goals outlined in the WIOA State plan.
