Supplier Diversity Office

The Supplier Diversity Office (SDO) of the Operational Services Division (OSD), certifies diverse businesses and also manages several business programs that help enhance the marketability of small and diverse businesses when they bid on public contracts.

Certification is how the SDO, or its designated partners, reviews companies that want to participate as diverse firms in public bidding opportunities. The SDO investigates these companies to make sure they meet applicable legal requirements. The SDO's goals are to increase opportunities for certified businesses and Small Business Purchasing Program (SBPP) participants through annual state agency spending benchmarks, include criteria within the state goods and services bid evaluation process, provide public access to the certified business lists on the OSD's Supplier Diversity Office web pages, and distribute business opportunity events and notices to SDO participants.
