Annual Low Number Plate Lottery

Applications for the 2026 Low Number Plate Lottery will be available online at myRMV Online Service Center beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 15, 2026. To be eligible, applicants must apply for this year’s lottery by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, August 14, 2026.

Official Lottery Rules and Eligibility Requirements

Any MassDOT employee including employees of the RMV, Highway, MBTA, Rail and Transit, Aeronautics, all shared services within MassDOT, and contract employees are not eligible to enter the plate lottery.
