Discover adaptive recreation programs in Massachusetts state parks.

Looking for some guided accessible recreation in the state parks? Massachusetts is unique in offering adaptive recreation programs year-round and statewide through the Universal Access Program.

Our structured programs feature adaptive equipment, professional staff, and instruction and support. Friends, family members, and companions are always welcome to take part in our programs alongside participants with disabilities.

  • Adaptive sailing on the Charles River

    April–October 31, 7 days a week on an appointment basis.
    Take sailing lessons or go out for a recreational sail with Community Boating, Inc.
  • Adaptive cycling at Artesani Park 

    1255 Soldiers Field Road, Brighton, MA 02135
    Wednesday, September 19, 2018
    11 a.m. - 3 p.m.
    Go cycling with a wide variety of adaptive cycles for adults and children. Hand cycles, trikes, tandems, and recumbent cycles are available.
