Public Hearing Notice  Public Hearing on Draft Regulation for Large Building Energy Reporting

On August 26, 2024, the Department of Energy Resources released a draft regulation proposing how it will implement its Large Building Energy Reporting (LBER) policy. DOER seeks public comment on the draft regulation between the release date and September 25th, 2024.  DOER will host a virtual public hearing on September 25, 2024 for those who would like to verbally share their input on the draft. Written comments should be submitted as attached pdf files to DOER.BER@mass.gov, with the words BER Public Comment in the subject line.  Alternatively, comments can be submitted via mail to Lyn Huckabee at the Department of Energy Resources, 100 Cambridge Street, 9th Floor, Boston, MA 02114.  Even if you provide input at the September public hearing, written comments are encouraged.

Language interpretation services for the hearing are available upon request. To request this service, please email DOER.BER@mass.gov at least four (4) business days prior to the September 25th hearing. Please include your name, the event name and date, the language requested, and your phone number should we have any questions.

After the public comment period ends, DOER will consider feedback received in its process of finalizing the regulations.
