Public Hearing on EVSE and EV Plans (DPU 25-180/181/182 and 188/189)

Overview

The Department is conducting a joint virtual public hearing to receive comments on the electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE) plans of Eversource, National Grid, and Unitil.  The purpose of these plans is to facilitate the deployment of right-of-way or pole-mounted electric vehicle supply equipment.

The Department will also be receiving comments on the Phase III and Phase IV electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure program proposals submitted by Eversource and National Grid, respectively. For more information regarding each Company’s proposed EVSE plans and EV programs, please see the Notices below.

The public hearing will take place on Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. For audio-only access to the hearings, attendees can dial-in at 646-931-3860 (not toll free) and then enter Meeting ID# 836 2531 4675. If you anticipate providing comments over Zoom, please send an email by Monday, February 9, 2026, to scott.seigal@mass.gov with your name, email, and mailing address. This hearing will be conducted in English. To request interpretation and/or translation in a language other than English, please send an email to dpu.ej@mass.gov by 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 4, 2026.

Any person interested in commenting on this matter may submit written comments no later than the close of business (5:00 p.m.) on Wednesday, February 18, 2026. Written comments may be sent by email to dpu.efiling@mass.gov, scott.seigal@mass.gov and to the companies’ respective attorneys, found in the Notices below. Please note that in the interest of transparency any comments will be posted to our website as received and without redacting personal information, such as addresses, telephone numbers, or email addresses. As such, consider the extent of information you wish to share when submitting comments. The Department strongly encourages public comments to be submitted by email. If, however, a member of the public is unable to send written comments by email, a paper copy may be sent to Peter A.
