Our volunteers provide a variety of services throughout all of our prisons. Volunteer services include faith-based, substance abuse, self help, support groups, literacy skills, cognitive skills, and cultural awareness programming.

What you need

There are currently approximately 1,500 volunteers providing a variety of services throughout all of our prisons. Volunteer services include faith-based, substance abuse, self help, support groups, literacy, cognitive skills and cultural awareness programming. A full listing of inmate programming can be found in the Program Description Booklet.

To be eligible, you need:

  • To be at least 21 years of age
  • A valid form of identification

A background check will be done for security clearance. If approved, you will be required to complete an orientation program.
