Enter Your Catch in the Saltwater Weigh-In Fishing Derby

Want to enter the Saltwater Weigh-In Derby? Read on to learn how to register your catch.
Your entry must be received within 30 days of catch and postmarked no later than Dec. 10 of the current calendar year. We present awards at the New England Boat Show in Boston the following year.

The Details

What you need

To enter your catch:

  • You can enter your catch in the Weigh-In Derby by taking it to a participating tackle store or weighing your fish on one of three approved scales.
  • Complete and submit your Weigh-In Derby entry form online or by mail.
  • Entry forms must be signed by the angler in order to be eligible. 

Also note that all fish entered in the Weigh-In Derby must be weighed while on shore or on a dock to ensure an accurate measurement is obtained.

  • You can enter your catch in the Weigh-In Derby by weighing your fish on one of three approved scales and taking a photo. All fish entered in the Weigh-In Derby must be weighed while on shore or on a dock to ensure an accurate measurement is obtained.
  • You can also have your catch weighed at an official weigh station and include the weighmaster information on the form.
  • Submit the online form within 30 days of catch.

  • You can enter your catch in the Weigh-In Derby by weighing your fish on one of three approved scales and taking a photo (which will be submitted by email). All fish entered in the Weigh-In Derby must be weighed while on shore or on a dock to ensure an accurate measurement is obtained.
