Register an individual taxpayer

You can register an individual through MassTaxConnect. Follow these steps:

1. Go to MassTaxConnect.
2. Click “Register a New Taxpayer.”
3. Click “Register an Individual.”
4. Read the information on the page carefully. Click “Next.”
5. Enter your legal name, ID, Date of Birth, verify your residency address, and click “Next.”
6. Select the account types you would like to register.
7. Choose the date you must pay your personal taxes for the first time and select your tax account mailing address. Click “Next.”
8. Create your MassTaxConnect account. Enter the full name, phone number, email address, and set 4 digit PIN number.
9. Choose your username and password for your MassTaxConnect account. Click “Next.”
10. Choose your authentication setup method for MassTaxConnect.
11. Review your registration information and click “Submit.”
12. You have now registered as an individual taxpayer and created a MassTaxConnect account. Click “OK” to exit.
