The Details of Register as an emergency response volunteer nurse
What you need for Register as an emergency response volunteer nurse
You will need a current Massachusetts license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Registered Nurse (RN), or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN).
- If your Massachusetts nursing license has expired, you can renew on-line 24/7 through Mass Department of Public Health Online Licensing. See our guide to renew your nursing license. Once you complete the online renewal process, your renewed license status will immediately appear on the Board’s license verification site and you can then register with MA Responds.
- If you are licensed as a nurse in another US state, the District of Columbia, American Samoa, Guam, Northern Mariana Islands, or the US Virgin Islands, and would like to apply for a reciprocal nursing license to enable you to register with MA Respond, see our guide to apply for a nursing license by reciprocity.
