To request weekly benefits, daily 6 a.m.–10 p.m.
You must request weekly benefits every week that you are unemployed. No payment will be issued for any week that you fail to certify your eligibility.
You will make your first weekly benefit request the week after you file your claim for unemployment benefits. Wait until the Sunday after you apply for benefits before you request benefit payments for the week. Every time you request weekly benefits, you’ll be asked questions about your unemployment status during the previous week.
When requesting weekly unemployment benefits online, we strongly recommend using a laptop or desktop computer.
You must make a request even if your eligibility is still being decided or you have an appeal pending. If you are approved for benefits, you will only receive payment for the weeks you’ve requested.
