Helpful Hints

  • If you are trying to login into UI Online and last had a claim prior to 7/1/2013, if we have your phone number or email Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) will be enabled. If we don't have your phone number or email on file, you will be required to enter your security question (your mother's maiden name) upon clicking the 'forgot password' link.

Updates

We recognize that many claimants have had difficulties with their Password when logging into UI Online to file a new Unemployment claim. To address this, the Department of Unemployment Assistance has made the following changes to the Password Resets based off of your feedback:

  • WebCert User ID and Password:
    • We've added a message pushing you to use the Forgot Password feature if you don't remember your WebCert User ID (which is not your Social Security Number) and password to login rather than make multiple attempts and lock yourself out of the system.
  • Legacy Security Question and Answer:
    • If a WebCert/TeleCert user has an MFA option, you do not get to use or select new security questions. If you don't have an MFA option, you will still go through the security question password reset and get to pick a new security question and answer along with the new password.
  • Reset Password Options:
    • We enable Multi-Factor Authentication for former TeleCert and WebCert users if we have an email address or phone number of yours stored in our system.

We hope these changes we have made will alleviate any issues you may have logging into UI Online and allow you to successfully file or access your Unemployment claim.
