What you need for Change the email address in your MyMassGov account
Follow these steps if you want to update the email address in your MyMassGov account (for example, if you've gotten a new email address you prefer to use).
You will need access to the new email address, as well as either the authenticator app or phone number used for your Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
If you already have an account with a service that uses MyMassGov, follow these instructions for how to set up a MyMassGov personal account, or business account, using that.
How to change Change the email address in your MyMassGov account
- Log in to MyMassGov.
- Access your account settings by selecting the link with your email address in the upper right corner.
- Select "Account settings."
- Select the "Edit" button next to your email address.
- You may need to enter a verification code to edit your account settings.
- Enter the email address you want to use for your account.
- Select "Send Verification Code." You will receive an email with a code at the new email address.
- Enter this code into the "Verification Code" field on the MyMassGov page.
- Select "Verify."
- A confirmation will load on the "Account Settings" screen when your change has been successfully completed.
- You’ll receive an email confirming that the email address in your account has been updated.
