Friendly reminder: Advance Payments are due

A reminder that advance payments are required for monthly taxpayers who had more than $150,000 in total liability for certain tax types in 2023 when paying sales/use tax (including sales tax on services and meals), marijuana retail taxes, or room occupancy excise. Looking for more information on who’s required to make advance payments and when those payments are due? Our FAQs and requirements pages are great resources.

Important Tax Filing Season Reminders

If DOR sends you a “Request for Verification,” be sure to respond within 30 days from the date of the notice to ensure there is no delay in processing your return. Learn more here. Another important message: if you received a 1099-G reporting unemployment income you never received, your identity may have been used to make a fraudulent claim. You should report it immediately as outlined here.
