HIP Processing
Terminals must be individually enabled for HIP by the Department of Transitional Assistance (DTA) before they can process the HIP incentive. HIP vendor participation is limited. See www.mass.gov/service-details/healthy-incentives-program-hip-for-farmers-and-vendors for more information on joining HIP.
- Landline Option: The only landline option that can process HIP incentives, as well as SNAP, is the Conduent DirectConnect device. Terminals must be individually enabled by DTA to process HIP. See information in the chart below.
- Wireless Option: The only wireless option to process HIP incentives, as well as SNAP, is Totilpay by Novo Dia Group. Terminals must be individually enabled by DTA to process HIP. See information in the chart below.
Paid Equipment – SNAP Only Processing
Farms can pay for SNAP equipment and services from a variety of providers. Research options thoroughly. The Farmers Market Coalition offers guidance on choosing a provider here.
