Getting help when you need it

Sometimes we all need a little extra help. Explore a variety of mental health resources available in Massachusetts. Everyone’s journey is different, and what helps one person might not be the right fit for another. It’s important to keep trying to find the support that’s best for you.

Getting Started

Finding the right support can feel overwhelming. You don’t have to figure it out alone.

Unsure of what's happening or what to do?

Ask your primary care provider for a Behavioral Health Wellness Exam to be screened and assessed for any behavioral health (mental health and substance use) needs. During this exam, your provider will ask you questions about your mental wellbeing, offer advice on healthy lifestyle changes that can help you feel better, and may refer you to local behavioral health resources. Primary care providers who accept MassHealth and commercial insurance plans may offer this service to both children and adults.
