Goshen received funding to implement a Seed Project that addresses one or more of their climate resilience priorities. They will be implementing Phase I of a Community Resiliency Hub, in which they plan to strengthen their communications through community engagement tools and social communication networks. Specifically, this phase of the project includes assessing, expanding, and improving communication network through inclusive and equity centered solutions to share critical information, increasing social and climate resiliency.

The activities of this project include:

  1. Build a project team to ensure that key populations are represented.
  2. Conduct a comprehensive inventory of the Town and community’s current communication tools and networks.
  3. Further identify community needs by gathering community feedback.
  4. Assess the list of available communications tools and networks and identify tools that should be added or upgraded.
  5. Work with community members to prioritize communication tools.
  6. Implement upgrades and launch programming and communications protocols.
  7. Leverage community partnerships with local businesses, churches, libraries, and community groups to raise awareness about the resilience communications hub.
