Description
This WMA consists of multiple parcels of land along the Green River in Williamstown. The parcels consist predominantly of northern hardwoods with some white pine interspersed. The three southern parcels contain steeply sloped areas. License agreements allow for some small agricultural fields on the properties.
Location, access, & parking
Parking access for the southern parcels is located on Route 7, with a parking lot on the southernmost parcel. Parking can also be found on Route 43 for the northern parcels of the WMA. See WMA map.
Note: WMAs are intentionally wild, visitors will find natural landscapes rather than maintained trails.
Habitat management
Agricultural use for haying several fields on the WMA is allowed in accordance with license agreements.

Hunting opportunities
The mix of fields, shrubland and upland on this WMA provides excellent habitat and hunting opportunities for wild turkey and white-tailed deer. Black bear are also present.
Fishing opportunities
The Green River, a coldwater fisheries resource, runs through all sections of this WMA. This river is stocked annually with trout. There are also reproducing brook and brown trout populations in the river.
