Overview
Through meetings every other month and regular communication, the Leading by Example (LBE) Council supports and advises the LBE Program by providing feedback on program design and priorities, making recommendations for technical assistance and guidance, and supporting the overall objectives contained in Executive Order 594.
The Council is chaired by the Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs and includes representatives from many agencies and institutions of public higher education that play a role in advancing emissions reduction progress within state government (see Section 9A of Executive Order 594 for details on membership). Although not executive branch agencies, the Massachusetts Department of Transportation, Massachusetts Port Authority, and the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority also participate as Council members.
