(a)

Sections 28 to 28P, inclusive, shall apply to nonmarital and marital children. This section shall not apply to the birth of a child conceived by sexual intercourse or assisted reproduction under section 27.

(b)

Venue for proceedings under sections 28 to 28P, inclusive, shall be in the county in which: (i) the child resides, is born or pursuant to a surrogacy agreement is expected to be born; (ii) a parent or intended parent of the child resides; (iii) a person acting as a surrogate resides; or (iv) a proceeding has been commenced for administration of the estate of a person who is or may be a parent under this chapter.
