MassDOT Next Generation Pedestrian and Bicycle Vision Map

A data-driven map set to make walking and bicycling a more viable option for short trips throughout the Commonwealth.

The need for this program is based on the large number of missing and insufficient pedestrian and bicycle networks that this project identified on MassDOT roads. The physical and quality gaps and resulting project prioritization identified within this project will provide a roadmap for targeted equitable multimodal investments for the foreseeable future and directly support MassDOT in achieving their transportation vision as established within the recently completed Beyond Mobility 2050 Transportation Plan.
