Overview
This datalayer shows the location of child care Programs in Massachusetts licensed by the Department of Early Education and Care (EEC). These programs include preschools, which serve infants through pre-kindergarten aged children, and before and after school programs that serve children through elementary school. The dataset includes both Large Group and Small Group programs and is based on EEC data as of October 4th, 2024.
The layer is called CHILDCARE_PT.
Production
MassGIS developed this datalayer by geocoding program locations sent by EEC and editing addresses and locations as needed.
Attributes
The point attribute table contains the following fields:

| MAD_ID | ID number for the program's address in the MassGIS Master Address Database |
| VOUCHER | Vouchers accepted by the program |
| ACCREDIT | Accreditation earned by the program |
Maintenance
The Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) will provide any updates to MassGIS.
