On February 16, 2022, Eversource requested that the Siting Board grant certain state and local permits necessary to construct and operate a new East Boston Substation (“Substation” or “Project”).  That proceeding has been docketed as EFSB 22-01.  Information on EFSB 22-01 can be found at https://www.mass.gov/info-details/east-eagle-certificate

Board Meeting

The Energy Facilities Siting Board concluded its Board meeting in EFSB 14-40A/D.P.U. 14-153A/14-154A on Monday, February 22, 2021.  The Board meeting was held over four days.  The purpose of the Siting Board meeting was to deliberate and vote on whether to approve, approve with conditions or amendments, or reject a Tentative Decision issued by the Siting Board on February 28, 2020 that recommended approval of a Project Change that NSTAR Electric Company d/b/a Eversource Energy submitted to the Siting Board on November 15, 2018 in connection with the Mystic-East Eagle-Chelsea Reliability Project (“Project”).
