Respond to your jury summons

Reporting for jury duty

Trial Jurors

  • On the day before your jury duty, please call the Juror Line (617) 788-8119 after 3 p.m.
  • You must appear by 8 a.m.
  • Report to Room 218
  • When there is severe weather or a public emergency, please call (617) 788-8119 (after 7 a.m. on the jury date) for a recorded announcement

Grand Jurors

  • On the day before your jury duty, please call the Juror Line (617) 788-8118 after 3 p.m.
  • You must appear by 9 a.m.
  • Report to Room 218
  • When there is severe weather or a public emergency, please call (617) 788-8118 (after 7 a.m. on the jury date) for a recorded announcement

Juror parking

Parking is available only at a limited number of private facilities. They charge local rates, which can be quite expensive.

Public Wi-Fi

Public Wi-Fi is not yet available at this courthouse.

What you can and can't bring to jury duty

On the day of jury duty, please bring your completed Confidential Juror Questionnaire (PDF)

You can also bring:

  • Food and drinks. You will likely sit and wait for a while, and lunch break isn’t until 1 p.m.
  • Reading material, work, or something to do while you're not participating in a panel
  • A cell phone and/or laptop. However, be aware that not all courthouses have Wi-Fi.
  • Money for parking and food

You can't bring:

  • Children or pets
  • Weapons
