Parking at MRC New Bedford

We are located in the Times Square/Olympia Building, between the Elm Street Parking Garage and the Bank of America building, and next door to the New Bedford Community Health Center. We are also diagonally across from, and one block down from the SERTA Bus Terminal.

Ample parking is available in the Elm Street Garage behind the Times Square/Olympia Building. There is metered parking as well. Note that we are not responsible for any parking costs or fees.

Limited Handicapped parking is also available in parking lot directly behind the Times Square building. Additional handicapped parking is located in the Elm Street garage, and on Purchase Street.

By Public Transportation:

  • Take SERTA Bus to Downtown Bus Terminal.

  • MRC Office is located one block East on Elm Street.

To Make a Referral

Any individual with a disability can ask about getting services. Our services are designed to assist individuals with disabilities to make informed choices about work. We have two easy ways you can start this process.

  • Call (508) 993-6255 and say that you want to apply for services. You will be asked some basic questions like your name, address and social security number.

  • Walk in to our office between the hours of 8:45 am and 5:00 pm, and ask to apply for services.

  • You will then be sent a letter with the date and time of your appointment to come in and meet with a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor.

Services to the Deaf and Hard of Hearing & Late Deafened Communities

  • Bilingual/Bicultural-American Sign Language/Deaf Culture

  • Accessible to Oral deaf, Hard of Hearing, & Late Deafened Adults

  • Advocacy and networking with service providers
