Long-Term Contracts for Renewable Energy and Energy Storage

Learn about long-term contracts that the electric companies (Eversource, National Grid, and Unitil) can enter into with renewable energy and energy storage developers.

Long-term contracts between electric companies and developers help Massachusetts reduce carbon emissions and promote renewable resources such as solar, on-shore wind, offshore wind, hydroelectric power, and energy storage systems. The electric companies must consider proposals for offshore wind (per 83C); hydropower (per 83D); and energy storage (per 83E).
