The Massachusetts State Exposition Building is located at The Big E in West Springfield. Built in 1919, the Building showcases Massachusetts agriculture, industry and tourism at the region's largest agricultural fair. Every year in September the fair opens for 17 days and attracts over 1.5 million visitors. Massachusetts Department of Agricultural Resources (MDAR) each year seeks qualified applicants to exhibit 1 to 17 days during the annual Big E fair.
The mission of the Massachusetts State Exposition Building is to showcase Massachusetts agriculture, commerce, culture, and tourism through informational, educational, promotional, and retail exhibits.
2026 Dates: September 18th – October 4th.
Massachusetts Day September 24th. Harvest New England Day October 2nd.
