Medical Standards Related to Driving

The RMV's Medical Affairs department is primarily responsible for setting agency policies and procedures regarding physical qualifications for driver's licenses.

Medical Affairs is a division of the Registry of Motor Vehicles (RMV). We set the RMV policies and procedures regarding minimum physical qualifications to operate motor vehicles. In doing so, we ensure that our roads are inclusive and safe.
