Meeting the Moment Lowell March 27 11am to 2pm

UMass Lowell University Crossing 220 Pawtucket St, Lowell, MA 01854 and on Zoom — Join us for the second in our series of community conversations, hosted in partnership with MassAbility, to listen and learn from individuals with disabilities, families, caregivers, service providers, and advocates.

This gathering will focus on key issues including digital accessibility; education and transition from school to employment; workforce development; and long-term services and supports and health equity.

We encourage community members to sign up to share their experiences, challenges, and ideas related to these topics either in person or via zoom. Submit written comments via email by March 23 at: cspwdinfo@mass.gov

The event will also provide an opportunity to connect with local organizations, state agencies, and disability commissions through an in-person resource fair.

  • 11am-11:30am: An overview of the work of the Commission and MassAbility
  • 11:30am-12:30pm: A hybrid community conversation opportunity for community members to share their experiences, needs, and priorities (hybrid format)
  • 12:30pm-1pm: Lunch
  • 1pm-2pm: A resource fair (in-person attendance only for the resource fair portion, participating organizations materials will be linked below)
