Breaking Barriers: The Unfinished Story of Women Lawyers and Judges in Massachusetts, published by MCLE (2012), tells the story of women’s progress in the legal profession in Massachusetts from 1882 to the present day. The book includes historical biographies of the state’s first women lawyers, as well as reflective accounts of modern day women lawyers and judges.
The American Bar Association’s Commission on Women in the Profession “serves as a clearinghouse of information relevant to women lawyers, including statistics, articles, reports, research, and organizations.”
