Board of Registration of Hazardous Waste Site Cleanup Professionals (LSP BOARD)

The LSP Board (Board) licenses Hazardous Waste Site Cleanup Professionals (often referred to as LSPs) to manage and/or oversee assessment and cleanup work at contaminated sites. The Board oversees the licensing of LSPs, administers a licensing examination, and sets requirements for LSPs to take continuing education courses in order to renew their licenses every three years. The Board also establishes rules of professional conduct LSPs must follow, investigates complaints against LSPs and disciplines LSPs for violations of the Board’s regulations.

Notices and Alerts

The LSP Board has amended its regulations effective January 30, 2026.  The updated regulations are available here: Licensed Site Professional Statutes and Regulations.  Among the amendments are changes to the continuing education requirements for LSPs.

The next round of LSP Exams are scheduled for November 3-5, 2026.
Approved applicants will be notified approximately 6 weeks before the exam to register and select a preferred exam date.
