The Natural Resources Section (NR) in DCR's Division of Water Supply Protection conducts various programs and projects to help protect the watersheds that provide 2.7 million people their drinking water. Working with Watershed Management foresters and other DWSP staff, NR oversees programs that maintain, protect, and enhance the health of the forests, habitat, and wildlife on watershed lands. Find out more about land protection, forestry, and wildlife on over 100,000 acres of DCR protected watershed land that surround the Quabbin Reservoir, Ware River, Wachusett Reservoir, and Sudbury Reservoir.
