522 CMR contains regulations regarding the construction, installation and inspection of certain steam
boilers, power reactor vessels and related piping, safety valves and such appliances as the Board
may deem necessary for said operation. The Board also regulates certain tanks or receptacles used
for storing compressed air, refrigeration and hot water. The Board also establishes qualifications for
certain installers, inspectors and operators of activities within its jurisdiction.
