DDS Office of the Ombudsperson

The DDS Ombudsperson can help navigate conflicts, offer guidance, and make sure individuals and families are receiving their eligible DDS services.

The DDS Ombudsperson's role is to respond to to individuals and families regarding agency programs, policies, and services. They offer a space for you to share your issues and address your concerns, ensuring that your DDS services are delivered with dignity and respect.

When to Contact the Ombuds

The Ombuds can provide information regarding the appropriate steps you can take to address an issue you may be experiencing with DDS, or direct you to additional sources of help or information.

When to contact the DDS Office of the Ombudsperson:

  • If you have a concern regarding DDS services
  • If you have a concern regarding a DDS service provider
  • If you are experiencing a delay or disruption in services 
  • If you have questions about DDS policies, services, or eligibility

The Office of the Ombudsperson is not a replacement for DDS’s Office of Investigations or other complaint resolution mechanisms.

If you are having an issue with DDS services or a DDS service provider that you have not been able to resolve, you are encouraged to call  or email the Office of the Ombudsperson at (617) 821-1677 and DDSOmbuds@mass.gov.
