Regulations by department

Implementation of Massachusetts General Laws c. 94C Department of Public Health Regulations at 105 CMR 700.000 et. Seq. governing the administration of and clinical practices of registered DMH, DCF, MRC and DDS community residential programs relative to medication administration.

The regulations established a training and Certification program for medication administration by non-licensed program staff and established standards to protect the well-being of individuals living in community programs who need assistance with administration of their medications.

Recent Amendments

On February 3, 2023, amendments to 105 CMR 700 were promulgated.  One amendment in particular impacts the administration and storage of “Rescue Medications” at MAP sites and community programs.  See Circular Letter DCP-23-04-119 for more information.
