District Court Administrative Regulation 2-86

Administrative Regulation No. 2-86 is hereby amended as follows, effective January 14, 2022.

Pursuant to G.L. c. 90C, §1, “Scheduled assessment,” the attached revised schedule of assessments for civil motor vehicle infractions is hereby promulgated jointly by the Registrar of Motor Vehicles and the Chief Justice of the District Court.

In accordance with G.L. c. 90C, §1, a copy of this revised schedule shall be visibly posted in the office of the Clerk-Magistrate of each District Court.

Note

These amounts represent the pay-by-mail civil assessments to be paid by motorists who do not wish to challenge their responsibility for civil motor vehicle infractions. They also represent the amounts of the civil assessment that are to be made by a judge or magistrate who has found a person responsible for a civil motor vehicle infraction after hearing, except where a reduction in the amount is permissible in accordance with District Court Administrative Regulation No. 2-06.
