State Retiree Benefits Trust Fund  

Oversees the administration and investment management of funds set aside by the Commonwealth and participating local governmental entities to address the liability associated with their retiree health care costs.

State Retirement Board  

The board administers the Massachusetts State Employees' Retirement System (MSERS) for state employees and certain other employees of public entities. The five-member board meets monthly.

Steamship Authority  

Manages the ferry service to Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket from Cape Cod.

Superior Court  

The Superior Court is a trial court of general jurisdiction for Massachusetts, and is committed to delivering high-quality justice with dignity and speed. The court's 82 justices sit in 20 courthouses in all 14 state counties.

Supplier Diversity Office (SDO)  

Promotes diversity, equity, and inclusion in state contracting. Our primary function is to certify diverse businesses and small businesses in Massachusetts. We also work to connect these businesses with public contracting opportunities and provide resources to enhance their marketability.

The Massachusetts Health Information Highway  

The Mass HIway is a secure statewide network that facilitates the transmission of healthcare data and health information among providers, hospitals, and other healthcare entities as allowed by applicable state and federal laws

Trial Court Law Libraries  

There are 15 Trial Court Law Libraries located across Massachusetts to serve the courts, attorneys, and the public. You can receive legal reference assistance, borrow books, and use print and electronic resources. We are here to help you with your legal information needs.

Unclaimed Property Division  

The Unclaimed Property division of the Massachusetts state Treasury connects citizens with their abandoned property such as bank accounts, uncashed checks, stocks or dividends, insurance policies, or the contents of safe deposit boxes. The state holds this reported property until the rightful owner or heir claims it.

Veterans Homes Council  

The nineteen member Veterans Homes Council was established through law in 2022. The Council acts an advisory body to make recommendations to the Secretary of the Executive Office of Veterans Services (EOVS) to ensure the health, well-being, and safety of residents of state-operated Veterans Homes and access to equitable, high quality, and competent care for veterans across the Commonwealth.

Water Resources Commission  

The Water Resources Commission was established in 1956 by the Massachusetts Legislature and is responsible for developing, coordinating, and overseeing the Commonwealth’s water policy and planning activities to ensure that Massachusetts will have plentiful water to support health, safety, economic development, and ecological vitality for generations to come. The twelve-seat Commission includes appointees from seven state agencies or offices and five public members.
