Community Support Program and Specialized Community Support Program Services

Community Support Program (CSP) services are behavioral health services provided by community-based, mobile paraprofessionals to MassHealth members.

CSP services support member empowerment, recovery, and wellness and increase a member’s independence, allowing them to manage their own behavioral health and medical services. Services vary over time in response to the member’s ability to use their strengths and coping skills to achieve these goals independently.

Specialized CSP services address health-related social needs concerning housing instability, homelessness, and justice involvement. Specialized CSP services are provided by community-based, mobile paraprofessionals to members whose conditions impact their ability to access essential medical services or other basic needs that may prevent them from remaining in the community. Specialized CSP services provide targeted services to members based on their unique situation.
