Public Meeting Notice Energy Burden TDR Model Technical Session (DPU 24-15)
Overview
The Department is conducting a virtual technical conference to gather feedback on the model developed to calculate discount rates for its Energy Burden docket. The model proposes three different discount rates for six income-based tiers of low-income electric customers to mitigate bill impacts for customers while providing the most assistance to eligible customers with the lowest incomes.
The Department welcomes further collaboration with all interested stakeholders in this technical session to develop a final framework and model that will provide effective and meaningful discount rates for eligible low-income customers.
The technical session will take place on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, from 10:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., although discussions may conclude earlier in the day. For audio-only access to the session, attendees can dial-in at 646-558-8656 (not toll free) and then enter the Meeting ID# 834 5882 5931. The technical conference will be available in English. To request interpretation in a language other than English, please contact Kaylee Burgess at dpu.ej@mass.gov no later than 5:00 P.M. on Tuesday, June 3, 2025.
In addition to the technical session, the Department is seeking written comments on all aspects of the model and in response to specific questions found in the Notice memo below. Written comments are due by Tuesday, July 1, 2025, and may be sent by email to dpu.efiling@mass.gov and laurie.e.weisman@mass.gov, with your name.
