WHEREAS, as Governor of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, I have from time to time issued Executive Orders in order to provide important policy directives to secretariats, agencies, bureaus, and other divisions of the executive department, or to create advisory bodies for the purpose of providing subject-specific expertise to inform executive department policy-making, or to meet other critical needs of the executive department;
WHEREAS, the success of a number of these policy directives and the completion of a number of these advisory functions makes the continuation of certain Executive Orders unnecessary, particularly where such efforts have accomplished their intended results in the form of reports delivered, legislation recommended and enacted, or other successful and superseding concluding action;
WHEREAS, as a result, the continuation of any Executive Order that has fulfilled its purpose is unnecessary and may lead to confusion and inconvenience for a successor administration, executive department employees, or members of the public;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Charles D. Baker, Governor of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution, Part 2, c. 2, § 1, Art. 1, do hereby order as follows:
1. The Executive Orders listed below are hereby rescinded effective immediately.

2. The Executive Order listed below is rescinded effective December 23, 2022.
No. 558 - Reconstituting the Judicial Nominating Commission and Establishing a Code of Conduct for Commission Members and Nominees to Judicial Office
Given at the Executive Chamber in Boston this 14th day of December in the year of our Lord two thousand twenty-two and of the Independence of the United States of America two hundred forty-six.
[1] This Order was issued in a prior administration, but the benefits the Order sought to achieve by centralizing facilities operations were not achieved. The executive department now has in place an alternative model to deliver effective facility management.
