Handbook Workforce & Facilities Grants for Early Education & Care Critical Infrastructure

Child care services are a critical part of the Commonwealth’s infrastructure and a vital support for families to fully return to work. EEC is committed to supporting providers in addressing the challenges they face as the Commonwealth continues on the path to economic recovery. EEC’s investment in both center-based programs and family child care programs will be available through two state-funded grant opportunities outlined further described below. Additional information about the investment of federal Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations (CRRSA) funds and federal American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds will be forthcoming as they are available.

Center-Based Workforce and Family Child Care Facilities Grants

The Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) will invest $30M in operational grants, targeted to addressing compensation for the workforce who provided in-person education and supports throughout the pandemic to date.
