Features

Microsoft Teams is the hub for teamwork in Microsoft 365.  Conversations, files and notes across team channels are only visible to members of the team.  Teams is a unified communication and collaboration platform that combines persistent workplace chat, video meetings, file storage, and application integration. 

Every time you create a new Team, the following are also created in the background: 

  • Microsoft 365 Group  
  • SharePoint Online site 
  • Exchange Online shared mailbox & calendar 
  • OneNote notebook 

Agencies currently supported by EOTSS may request to create a Team in Microsoft Teams. Click here to check if you are currently supported by EOTSS.  

Agencies NOT currently supported by EOTSS should reach out to their Agency's IT help desk. 

Pricing

There is no additional* fee to create a team in Microsoft Teams.

*Microsoft Teams is included with your M365 G3 license.

How to request

Please note: Internal agency IT Liaison (ITL) approval is required in order for EOTSS to process this request.

Service Level Expectation (SLE)

  1. Create a Team

    SLEResponsibilities/Dependencies
    Fulfillment: 90% within 3 business days

    Customer

    • Responsible for adhering to the EOTSS Standard Rules of Engagement.
    • Responsible for identifying at least two (2) owners
    • Responsible for providing name of Team.
    • For unconsolidated Executive Branch Agencies, please reach out to your agency Help Desk to request a MS Team.

    EOTSS

    • Responsible for creating a MS Teams per the customer’s request. EOTSS will provide out of the box templated MS Team.
