What you need for Customer enrollment report

You will need to provide the following information:

  • the total number of residential customers and the number of low-income residential customers you were serving in each electric company's service territory on the last day of the specified reporting period,

  • the total number of residential customers and the number of low-income residential customers you enrolled in each electric company's service territory during the specified reporting period.  The customer enrollment numbers are separated out by the marketing channel used to enroll the customers.

    Download the form below and email a confidential copy of the notice to:

    1. dpu.electricsupply@mass.gov for electric customer enrollment reports
    2. dpu.gassupply@mass.gov for gas customer enrollment reports

    The subject of the email and the attachment should be labeled as: "customer enrollment report - NAME OF COMPANY - date of email in MM.DD.YY format"

    You must file a completed notice if you are serving residential customers.  If you are licensed to serve residential customers but are not serving residential customers during the relevant timeframe, you must notify the DPU that you are not serving residential customers.

    Enrollment report dates

    • First customer enrollment report: due by August 3, 2020.  The information that needs to be provided is limited to the total number of residential and residential low‑income customers that a competitive supplier is serving by service territory as of June 30, 2020.
    • Second customer enrollment report: due by February 1, 2021.  Suppliers must report on the residential and residential low-income customers that they are serving as of December 30, 2020.  Suppliers must also report on the number of residential and residential low-income customers enrolled by service territory from July 1, 2020 through December 30, 2020.  

    Protective treatment

    All of the information in the customer enrollment reports is competitively sensitive and is protected from public disclosure.  D.P.U. 19-07-A at 80.
