The Role of MassHealth and the Role of Community Case Management
Within MassHealth's Office of Long Term Services and Supports (LTSS) there is a team which oversees all Fee for Service, Home Based Programs. This team manages Continuous Skilled Nursing (CSN) services. MassHealth has a contract with Community Case Management (CCM) to provide utilization management services for MassHealth members receiving CSN services. CCM is responsible for conducting assessments for CSN and other in-home services for CCM members, completing prior authorizations for those services, and providing administrative case management support.
