​​​​​​The APR agreement is a long-term obligation to protect farmland in Massachusetts. By entering into or buying land with an APR agreement with MDAR you are ensuring that your land is permanently protected for agricultural purposes.  An APR agreement is a legally binding and permanent interest in your property.  MDAR’s stewardship program is a resource to help ensure that terms are carried out.
