About Division of Insurance Regulatory Information
The Division has the legal authority to conduct hearings, issue orders and decisions, and promulgate regulations on the business of insurance. Many of these matters affect consumers and businesses across the state. The Commissioner also has the authority to accept service of process in lawsuits involving insurance companies that are organized out of state.
