EEC's new Professional Portal

The Department of Early Education and Care (EEC)'s Professional Portal is a new tool to manage your professional trainings and growth. The portal is a simple and user-friendly experience for your professional journey at EEC. We’re continuing to improve it based on your feedback.

This page includes information about the portal's available features, how to get started, and using a MyMassGov account.

Available features

At this time, there are 2 available features in EEC’s Professional Portal:

These 2 features are part of the first phase of having various EEC tools in one place.  New features will be available in the future.

Important note: At this time, you need to continue using the  Professional Qualifications Registry (PQR) to complete annual registration and other tasks you may currently access in the PQR system. PQR isn't available in the portal yet.

Getting started in the portal

To get started, you need to log in to the Professional Portal with your MyMassGov account.

If you don’t have a MyMassGov account, you’ll need to create one.

When you log in to the Professional Portal for the first time, you’ll need to create your portal profile.

We’ll ask you to share a few details about yourself for your profile:

  • Personal information (like your date of birth, any previous names, ZIP code, and contact information)
  • Program information (like the program you’re currently working in and your roles)

Once you create your Professional Portal profile, you’ll have access to your dashboard. This is where you access the new StrongStart LMS, apply for or manage your EEC professional certifications, and review or edit your portal profile.

Using MyMassGov to log in to the portal

You must use a MyMassGov account to log in and to manage your Professional Portal access.

If you don’t have a MyMassGov account, you’ll need to create one before you can start using the portal.  Note: We recommend using a personal email address instead of a work email. It’s best to use an email that you check often and will continue to have access to in the future.

Logging in with a MyMassGov account helps us confirm your personal details and identity. When you use MyMassGov, you can also access other participating Massachusetts services on mass.gov. This includes the Registry of Motor Vehicles (RMV), state health insurance, family leave, and more.
