Exploring the Blackstone River Valley Recreational Hike Series

All programs are free and open to the public. Registration is not required. Appropriate for ages 12 and up. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Wear sturdy footwear. Dress for the weather. Bringing water is encouraged as it will not be available on-site. Bathrooms are available unless otherwise stated. Programming is subject to change or cancellation. Date	Description
Sunday, June 14, 2026	Wallis Pond Loop, 2 - 4 p.m.  Douglas State Forest Meet at the Ridge Trailhead parking areaTrailhead parking area. This hike is ~3.5 miles over a loose gravel surface with moderate inclines. Bathrooms are not available at this site.
Sunday, June 21, 2026	Triad Bridge Hike, 2 – 4 p.m.  Blackstone River Greenway Meet at the Central Street parking area (1 Hope Street, Millville). This hike is ~2 miles over a paved surface with no inclines. Bathrooms are not available at this site.
Sunday, June 28, 2026	Worcester Greenway Hike, 2 - 4 p.m. Blackstone River Greenway Meet at the Millbury Street parking area. This hike is ~3 miles over a paved surface with no inclines. Bathrooms are not available at this site.

Sunday,  July 5,  2026	Skull Rock Lock Loop, 2 – 4 p.m. Blackstone River and Canal Heritage State Park Meet at the Skull Rock Lock parking area (bit.ly/skullrocklock). This hike is ~2.5 miles over a rugged forest surface mild inclines.
Sunday,  July 12,  2026	Nuthatch Loop, 1 – 4 p.m. Upton State Forest Meet at the CCC camp parking area (bit.ly/uptnccc). This hike is ~4.5 miles over on loose gravel surface with steep inclines. Bathrooms available.
Sunday, July 19,  2026	Reservoir Loop, 2 – 4 p.m. Douglas State Forest Meet at the Route 16 parking area (bit.ly/dougroute16). This hike is ~4 miles over loose gravel and rugged forest surfaces with steep inclines. Bathrooms are not available at this site.
Sunday,  July 26,  2026	Whitehall Reservoir Loop, 1 –  4 p.m. Whitehall State Park Meet at the Highland Street parking area (300 Wood Street, Hopkinton). This hike is ~5 miles over rugged forest surface and loose gravel surfaces with steep inclines.

Sunday,  August 9,  2026	Chickadee Loop, 2 – 4 p.m. Upton State Forest Meet at the Hopkinton Road parking area (bit.ly/hopkroad). This hike is ~3 miles over a rugged forest and rocky surfaces with moderate inclines.
Sunday, August 16,  2026	Tri-State Marker Loop, 2 – 4 p.m. Douglas State Forest Meet at the High Street Connector parking area (bit.ly/highstconnector). This hike is ~3.5 miles over rugged forest and compacted gravel surfaces with steep inclines. Bathrooms are not available at this site.
Sunday, August 23,  2026	Blackstone Greenway Hike, 2 – 4 p.m. Blackstone River Greenway Meet at the Depot parking area (85 Canal Street, Blackstone). This hike is ~4 miles over a paved surface with no inclines.
Sunday, August 30,  2026	Blackstone Gorge Loop, 2 – 4 p.m. Blackstone River and Canal Heritage State Park Meet at the Blackstone Gorge parking area (bit.ly/blstgorge). This hike is ~1.5 miles over a rocky surface with steep inclines. Bathrooms are not available at this site.
